At The Dandelion Hub, we have a track record of success in Education. Individually, we have worked in a range of different settings and have taken all of our best skills and attributes and merged them together in one place-The Dandelion Hub CIC.
From Performing Arts, to Counselling; from Outreach support; Our Online School; to Tutoring- we are here to offer an innovative and exciting way of learning and experiencing the world.
Our objective is to establish a safe and nurturing space where every child can connect with our services, promoting their growth, learning, and success as they journey alongside us.
The heart of what we do stems from our personal experiences and forms our mission based work. As we are a CIC, we actively raise funds for three different causes. These issues are very dear to us, having witnessed first-hand the negative impact they can have on both children and adults. We aim to give back to our community of families who have experienced or are actively going through hardship.
Lovely to meet you! I’m Serina; a SENDCO and teacher of 18 years. I’m also a trainee Person Centred Therapist and hope that this is something we will go on to offer at The Dandelion Hub once I’m fully qualified.
I’m a mum, a creative, a mindfulness coach and teaching and learning is my passion. I’ve worked in PRUs, Specialist Setting APs as well as Mainstream and don’t think I’ll ever stop loving what I do. My work is highly personalised; creative and I have a keen interest in how we learn and the way in which we can develop our Executive Functioning Skills.
I believe that every person on this earth is here for their own unique purpose and I like to feel I can facilitate them on that journey in finding out just who they truly are and what their purpose is. I’m excited to work with you all!
Hi, Nice to meet you. I have worked with young people now for almost 10 years. My background ranges from supporting 16-18 years olds, to teaching 4+ year olds performing arts. I have worked in alternative provision for the last 3 years.
I love to spend time with my family and go off on mini adventures across the UK.
My favourite saying is an elephant wouldn't be able to climb a tree as quick as a squirrel could - however given the time and tools the elephant can be supported to do so.
I am very passionate about what I do and I cant wait to meet and support you through this journey.
The Dandelion Hub Outreach offer aims to support learners with a personalised , high interest, high success offer! Using a combination of mentorship and coaching; our experienced staff work together with young people to achieve their goals. Whether we are taking students off site; working within the school setting or coaching staff; our Outreach offer aims to meet the best outcomes for all.
The Dandelion Online Hub is a new approach to learning. Sessions are selected by students; are highly personalised and thematic. We do things differently here and aim to create a community where students learn, bond and bloom! Neurodiversity and mental health is at the top of our agenda and is incorporated into all schemes of work we plan. Parent/Carer drop ins are encouraged and support learners in choosing the best fit lessons for them.
Sometimes, the setting needs some support managing need. This can take many forms from mediating with parents; training staff; personalising the experience of a learner within the setting; observing and creating reports; advising on behaviour or SEND aswell as giving the school staff some respite.
The Dandelion Hub is a dedicated team with extensive experience in educational environments. Our mission is to support and empower all children by providing them with a tailored approach to help them with their social skills and mental health. We are committed to creating a safe and nurturing space where every child can connect with our services and make a meaningful difference in their lives. Children that are home educated rely on social opportunities and learning to expand their personal growth so we have an in person drop in session which supports this growth. Sessions are fun, informative and project based.
We recognise the difficulties families face when escaping a home affected by domestic violence, including the effects on both children and the departing parent. This fund was established because it felt like the right thing to do from the moment we discussed it. We dedicate this fund to any parent who has had to start anew.
Our mission is to assist families fleeing from domestic violence by offering grants to help with bills, compensate for lost wages, or cover daily needs. Additionally, we provide tutoring for children who are struggling and create a supportive and safe talking environment for the entire family.
We acknowledge that every situation is unique. Please email us a description of your circumstances, and we will strive to offer assistance and support to the concerned family.
.This fund holds a special place in our hearts. Gabrielle, Claire's best friend, tragically lost her fight with cervical cancer in April 2024. At just 37, Gabrielle was a vibrant mother to a wonderful 8-year-old daughter. She brought colour to life and was a friend to all, shining brightly even on the darkest days.
Our mission is to assist children who are grappling with the devastating effects of losing a parent, family member, or friend, or witnessing a parent undergo cancer treatment. We will provide grants for family outings, one-on-one online tutoring to help the child stay on top of school work, and offer support/counselling to the child.
We recognise the uniqueness of each situation. We request that you email us with a description of the circumstances, and we will endeavour to provide assistance and support to the family in question.
Tyrrellison is the kennel name of Tricia Watson, who collaborated with various charities to train dogs for careers as therapy dogs for autistic children. Tricia was deeply passionate about dogs. Tragically, she lost her battle with COVID-19 in 2021. We have established this fund to ensure her dedication to the cause continues.
we will raise money / donate money to give or sponsor a dog being trained as a therapy dog or any working dog with in a family home.
Please email us a description of the circumstances, and we will strive to offer assistance and support to the charity or company sponsoring the dog.
